IAG X-Brace® Tailgate Hinge Reinforcement for 21+ Bronco

It looks good and serves it purpose well. Back door rattle from the weight of the bigger rims is gone . Wait months before ordering waiting for a sale. Never happened, until 3 days after I placed my order. $105 off. I was si mad. Lol could have used that to buy more stuff from iag !

So far I love it !! I love the look and functionality of the x-brace. It is much sturdier than the stock hinges. I’ve seen a lot of jeeps with tailgate issues over the years and I knew I wanted to start with upgrading my OEM rear gate knowing I was going to add accessories to rear of my vehicle. So fast forward a year later with my x-brace and I have zero complaints :)!

This darn tailgate reinforcement is a game changer. No more creeks and squeaks from my tailgate. No more rattle. Looks AWESOME. Very heavy duty and great quality. Worth every penny.

I'm very happy with the IAG Bronco X-Brace. The creaks and rattles are completely gone, and the tailgate feels much more solid when opening and closing now. Thanks to the YouTube videos, installation was fairly straightforward. It definitely required two people at times, but I managed to complete it in a few hours, including the alignment process. I have enjoyed all the IAG products I purchased, but I especially appreciate the lack of branding on this item. It makes it seem more OEM.

Love this , husband bought for my Xmas present . I had it powdered coated and just love this look. Installation wasn’t bad. Video instructions very helpfull.

With my 2Door Blk Dmd, the need for extra space for external gear placement and keep more weight from possibly binding or bending tailgate hinges, this is the absolute best design to meet my needs! Not to mention how good it looks! Thank you IAG. looking forward to seeing the additional option attachments for this brace soon!

Bumper fit as expected. I was told by my mechanic the sensor wires were a bit problematic. I believe he had to add extra wire for one of the sensors.

Great product and I highly recommend. Stopped all the extra rattling noise that was coming from the back of my bronco. The free gift that they include was a waste of time and I wish it was something actually usable besides the cheap bronco script letters though.

It's a beefy piece and it is easy to install. It does limit the swing on the tailgate due to the added thickness.

All the issues I ran into were with ford parts.
Snapped an ear off the gap trim panel on the tailgate. Broke the mini coax connector for the backup cam trying to get it disconnected and the plastic philips head trim pins are really one and done. With the exception of the mini coax connector everything is cheap to replace and readily available.

My only issue is I wish they used Torx head bolt instead of hex. It's a personal thing, I like the look of the Torx.

Installing was a breeze and it really makes the tailgate a lot sturdier. Eliminated all sag/play/rattling. Well worth the investment and it looks great.

Tailgate reinforcement was less than an hour to install. Looks so much better than other options out there. I can tell the difference compared to without this. The tailgate would make noise before if going over major bumps, now there is no noise. I also upgraded my Bronco SAS to 37” tires during install.

Spent the past year researching tailgate reinforcement brackets for my Bronco. Went with a 37” tire and the stock system felt like it was going to break any day. Happy I found the iag bracket, easy install and it feels stout without adding a lot of weight. Will see how it fairs on the trails next summer.

I've owned my Bronco for a year and a half now and installed heavier wheels and tires on day one. I've been on the hunt for a reinforcement bracket since seeing some people having issues. I have purchsed several other IAG item for my Bronco and they have been quality. Once I seen this new X-Brace come out, I was confident it's going to work well and it looks great as well. Install took a little over an hour, with me going slow, not to scratch anything. Overall, the product is great!
